OUR HISTORY
While attending college at Arizona State University, Alan Blau fell in love with numbers. He got his start with a national tax firm and worked his way through school. In 1963 he had earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and never looked back.
As Alan developed his personal book of business, he was encouraged by clients to strike out on his own. In 1965, Alan opened his first office in Scottsdale, Arizona, directly across the street from his previous firm. Many clients that gave Alan his inspiration are still with us today.
Now nine employees strong, The Blau Company, Ltd. is located in The Lakes area of Tempe but serves clients all over Arizona, as well as California, Texas, and other states. We continue to focus on serving individuals and small businesses with tax preparation, accounting, and consulting services.
The Blau Company, Ltd. believes in helping our clients in a family oriented manner. Our company logo, an American buffalo, exemplifies our approach. Buffalos, magnificent pack animals, are seemingly calm unless disturbed, where their aggressiveness, agility and strength are used to punish any would-be predator.
In March of 2010, Aaron Blau received his license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Arizona. This signaled the completion of a five year plan, culminating with the firm’s registration with the Arizona State Board of Accountancy and installation of Aaron as the firm’s majority shareholder.
In December 2010, The Blau Company opened a satellite office in Gilbert, Arizona to better serve our south-east valley clients.
The Blau Company, Ltd. is now prepared to continue serving for another 40 years!
