While attending college at Arizona State University, Alan Blau fell in love with numbers. He got his start with a national tax firm and worked his way through school. In 1963 he had earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and never looked back.
As Alan developed his personal book of business, he was encouraged by clients to strike out on his own. In 1965, Alan opened his first office in Scottsdale, Arizona, directly across the street from his previous firm. Many clients that gave Alan his inspiration are still with us today.
Now nine employees strong, Alan Blau & Associates, Ltd. is located in The Lakes area of Tempe but serves clients all over Arizona, as well as California, Texas, and other states. We continue to focus on serving individuals and small businesses with tax preparation, accounting, and consulting services.
Alan Blau & Associates, Ltd. believes in helping our clients in a family oriented manner. Our company logo, an American buffalo, exemplifies our approach. Buffalos, magnificent pack animals, are seemingly calm unless disturbed, where their aggressiveness, agility and strength are used to punish any would-be predator.
